Sujit SumitranExecutive & Leadership Coach, Facilitator and Speaker
"After 29 years of eclectic work experiences, I see my work and life as a means to self-actualization - to become more and more what I am and to become everything that I am capable of becoming. Sharing it with others is always an honor for me.”
I’m in the business of possibility – helping clients convert the potential energy of their people into kinetic energy! I do this by partnering organizations in co-creating their people development programs. Not just events, but sustained initiatives that guarantee ROI. This normally translates to a combination of training, consulting, 1-on-1 & group coaching to help embed learning and produce demonstrable results. I also work with senior leaders of these organizations to help them navigate their strategic and operational leadership challenges and to help them connect with their deepest calling in life and work.
I have earned a PCC (Professional Certified Coach) credential from the ICF (International Coach Federation) and have successfully completed certified courses in Appreciative Coaching and The World Café process from the Fielding Graduate University, California. Before diving deep with The Yellow Submarine, I spent 6 1/2 years at Erehwon Innovation Consulting, where I consulted with large corporations to help create environments that are innovation-friendly. Prior to Erehwon, I was one of the 2 trainers who rolled out the Dale Carnegie offerings, when they kick-started the India operations in 2003. Earlier, I was Vice President (Sales) at Zenith Computers Ltd. I began my sales career with Xerox and have ‘learned’ in a variety of demanding environments – from factory floors to management committees. In the last 8 years, I’ve interacted with over 10,000 participants across 100+ clients like Amararaja Group, Asian Paints, Atos Origin, Avon India, Mahindra Auto, MTR Foods, Royal Sundaram Insurance, Sandvik Asia, Tata Motors, Times of India Group, Unilever Indonesia & Wartsila India, to name a few. My years of working across diverse industries & contexts helps me relate easily to people.
I live in Bangalore with my wife Sudha - a teacher, My son Siddharth is currently experimenting with photography and painting to discover his true strengths. My daughter Neha lives in Mumbai and is the food & drink editor for ‘TimeOut Mumbai’. I am passionate about week-end cooking and I spend hours every weekend experimenting with diverse ingredients, recipes and techniques.
I strongly believe that in my world there are no strangers – just friends who I haven’t met as yet. :)
