Ken Otter


Ken Otter, PHD Candidate, is Director of Leadership Studies Programs at Saint Mary's College, which offers values infused leadership development to working professionals. His teaching and research interests include: complex systems theory, learning community, collaborative and action inquiry and learning, and global leadership development. As an educator, coach and consultant in values and leadership development, Ken brings over 25 years of professional experience cultivating transformative learning and change in individuals, and teams, and organizations both in the US and internationally. This experience involves multiple sectors, and spans a wide variety of industries such as entertainment, retail, hospitality, health, education and the arts.

Ken’s focus as a Hall-Tonna Values coach is to help individuals and teams to become more aware of their own value constellations and the ecology of values in play in the social networks to which they belong and serve. He believes it is this enhanced awareness that allows individuals and teams to fortify their capacity to realize purpose and an aspiring future.

Ken’s educational background includes the expressive arts, counseling and organizational psychology, adult development and learning, and leadership, including a study of Adaptive Leadership at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. Presently, he is Director of Leadership Studies Programs at Saint Mary's College, which offers values infused leadership development to working professionals. His teaching and research interests include: complex systems theory, learning community, collaborative and action inquiry and learning, and global leadership development. Ken Director is a VT Train-the-Trainer.
